Every Satruday in September and the first Saturday in October we will be holding the Wild Rose Motocross Association Fall Super Series!  There are classes for everyone and there is no racing liscense needed.  You will have to pay $25 for the first class you enter and $20 for the second.  Spectators are $2 each and you must pay rider fee at the gate if you are a non member.

Points are kept and prizes and trophies are handed out at the final round!

If you are not racing there will be another track open for casual riding.

It is that time of the year again! Time to sell WRMA memberships for half price! Shane and crew have been knocking it out of the park with the grooming this season and the There is lots of riding left! The track will be open week nights and weekends until the end of October and weekends all winter as conditions allow. Don’t forget we also have Tuesday night motos for the kids and Thursday night motos for big boys, gals and 65-85cc rider and the Fall Super Series coming up! Buying a half price membership gets you into the track at no charge for these great riding days (note entry fees required for motos and Super Saturdays).

For the rest of this season rates will be: Adult $550/2= $275, youth 11-17 and women $300/2=$150 and Kids 10 and under $200/2=$100.

2010 Memberships are valid until February 28th 2011. Memberships are available at wildrosemx.com or at the entrance gate when ever the park is open via cash or credit card. Memberships must be paid in full at the time of purchase and parents must sign for kids under 18.

Wood chips are coming in hot and heavy at the park and along with those wood chips we get the odd log.  If you would like one or a bunch of logs for fire wood be our guest!

 It is May and time to switch back to our regular season schedule since the weather is more reliable.  OK the weather is never reliable in Calgary but we are closing monday to give the facility crew a much needed day to catch up on equipment and park maintenance.

 The park is now open Tuesday through Friday from 4pm to dusk and weekends and holidays from 10am to 6pm.  Of course the park is open weather and conditions permitting so be sure to check the recording 403 240-4025 in case of bad weather.

 Also remember the park is closed to casual riding during the SOAB events May 30th and August 29th and the CMRC pro national June 18-20.

Tuesday night mini motos return for 2010 on April 6th.  Riders meeting will begin at 6pm and all riders and parents are required to attended.

Tuesday night mini motos are fun races for kids on 50, 65, 85 and 150cc mini bikes.  Sign in is at the entrance gate from 4pm to 6pm, the cost is $5 per rider plus entry to the park.

Super Star Dean Wilson is a Tuesday night mini moto graduate!  Did it make him faster?  Who knows, but we guarantee he had fun and so will you!

If you have already purchased a memberwhip , or are planning to be a WRMA member for 2010 you will have to show your membership card upon entering the park at every entry for 2010, no exceptions.  This move is to prevent fraudulent entries to the park, which are unfair to all the good patrons who pay their share.

We know some of the staff at the gate know who you are but there is always new staff and even our regular staff who might know you can’t be expected to remember if you have a membership or not.  Either way you are required to prove you have your card in your possesion (so someone else isn’t using it) at every entry so please be courtious when asked.

A great idea is to keep your card in your sun visor or consol if you always use the same truck to get to the track.

If you happen to lose your card we will replace it and void the old card number, it will cost $25 to replace your card.

No liscence is needed to race either club series, all events are held at Blackfoot park.  There are classes for all riders.  Points are awarded at each round and prizes and trophies are awarded based on series points.  Watch here for times and costs TBA.

The dates for the spring and fall Calgary rounds of the Southern Alberta Motocross Series (SOAB) races will be May 29th and August 9th.  As always there will be an organized practice on Saturday before the SOAB races and non racers are welcome to attend the pactices if desired.

The spring and fall SOAB series are CMRC sanctioned race series that span southern Alberta.  You must have a CMRC liscence to race.    For more information on the SOAB and other CMRC races in Alberta check out albertadirtriders.com

As always the SOAB race schedule is subject to change to always keep an eye on the albertadirtriders.com website for updates.

The Calgary round of the Monster Energy CMRC Pro Motocross Nationals will be June 20th with an amateur day held on June 19th.  A CMRC liscence is needed to race these events.  Visit cmrcracing.com for more info on the nationals.

We have received a few complaints lately from members who have noticed too many loud bikes on the track.  Now is the time of year that many riders silencers desperately need repacking.  On a four stroke, especially with after market silencers you will need to repack every couple months or more.

On the plus side your bike will make more power and will be less likely to get the park a noise complaint.  In addition a silencer can be damaged if run too long with out packing, and will not be covered under warranty since it was not maintained properly.

The best repacking kits now come with a steel wool inner core as they last much longer.  If you are allergic to working on your bike any good shop can do the work.  Check out WRMA sponsors like Blackfoot Motorsports, Bow Cycle, RDS, Seitzco and Walt Healy.

Prepaid passes will be available for purchase at the Entrance Gate (when the park is open).

$100 gets you 5 rides (savings of $25) for adult males

$60 gets you 5 rides (savings of $15) for mini bikes and ladies
